The people from Antonio Carraro demonstrated the Italian made Rinieri undervine weeding tools. The Rinieri range includes disc, blade, power harrow and rotary hoe units with double or single row options. Made from high quality steel, the Rinieri weeders are relatively light and compact but still tough enough to handle a wide range of conditions. The single row, rotary hoe option was demonstrated with great interest being shown by visitors in the unique withdrawal action of the unit when encountering obstacles such as vines and dripper risers. Instead of swinging back and forth in an arc, the working head is retracted back and forth in a piston-like action thereby avoiding heavy contact with obstacles that might occur if the head happened to swing back to its full extent at the moment it would encounter the obstacle.
